Combat is grounded and brutal, where enemies can and will fight unfairly with glee. The sense of accomplishment from finally beating a challenging foe or discovering a hidden area is immense. Walking straight and turning on the narrow beams can be made simpler by using a bow in sniper mode. Most notable, though, is the way the haptics react to you being hit. I need to give a special mention as well to the new ability to send items to your storage box without having to return to the Nexus.
